Wednesdays Overview
The Fall 2023 season of "Wednesdays!" begins Wednesday, September 27 and continues every Wednesday until December 20. (There will be NO Wednesday gatherings on October 25 or November 22 due to Fall Break and Thanksgiving, respectively)
GENERAL INFORMATION:
- All are welcome for dinner. Meals are free; come and go as you please.
- Dinner is from 5:30 to around 6:30 (or when food runs out)
- After dinner, we will offer a variety of programs:
- Nursery and Kid’s programming;
- Transportation to Basics at UCC (as needed);
- Pierce Youth;
- College/Adult study groups.
TIMELINE:
- 5:30 – Dinner is served
- 5:45 – Childcare begins (nursery through 5th grade, kid’s check-in)
- 6:00 – Pierce Youth free play begins (Back 15 youth area)
- 6:15 – Basics van leaves for UCC; Pierce Kids programming begins for kids remaining @ Pierce Church
- 6:30 – Study groups start; Pierce Youth officially starts
- 8:00 – All evening activities conclude (study groups, youth, kid’s programming)
STUDY GROUPS (Fall 2023):
- Jesus’s Farewell Message – General audience: Pastor Evan will be leading a general study on Jesus’s farewell message found in John 13-17 based on a video course from Francis Chan. (Starts Sep. 27)
- Are My Kid’s On Track? – Parenting group: Kevin Duecker will be facilitating a course based on the book Are My Kids On Track? (book optional) that identity 12 emotional, social, and spiritual milestones your child needs to reach. (Starts Sep. 27)
- Isaiah by Melissa Spoelstra – Women’s group: Judi Knudsen and Ashley Mingo will be on point for a women’s group studying how strive less and trust God more from author Melissa Spoelstra’s book on Isaiah. (Starts Oct. 11)
